Belize — SWIFT/BIC Codes & Payment Info

• Obtain all required bank information from the beneficiary, such as SWIFT BIC, account number, and beneficiary bank address.
• Include account number, full name (no initials), and address of the ordering customer in SWIFT MT103 F50. Avoid using initials to prevent delays.
• For the beneficiary customer (SWIFT MT103 F59), include account number, full name (no initials), and address. Full address is required to avoid payment delays.
• A 15-digit account number is required for payments to Belize Bank Limited.
• Include SWIFT BIC with branch identifier, full name, and address of the beneficiary bank in SWIFT MT103 F57.
• SWIFT BIC is 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters: xxxxBZxx or xxxxBZxxxxx.
• Include branch codes in field 70 when making a payment to beneficiaries at Scotiabank (e.g., 91595 for Belize City, 87965 for Belama, etc.). See full list for all branches.
• Include the reason for payment in SWIFT MT103 F70. Though optional, it is recommended to specify the purpose of the payment.
