Dissolved organization — historical French government action
France's Dissolved Associations register under Article L.212-1 catalogues 163 groups historically disbanded by French government decree, maintained as a public record useful for enhanced due diligence on beneficial owners and related-party checks during corporate onboarding reviews.
France Dissolved Associations lists organizations and de facto groupings dissolved by decree of the Council of Ministers under Article L.212-1 of the Code de la securite interieure (Internal Security Code). This administrative dissolution power targets extremist, terrorist, and violent organizations. Categories include far-right extremism (neo-fascist movements, identitarian groups), Islamist extremism (jihadist organizations), far-left extremism (radical antifascist groups), separatist movements, and organizations inciting discrimination or violence.
Reconstituting a dissolved organization is a criminal offence under Art. 431-15 of the Penal Code (up to 3 years imprisonment). A dissolution decree is an administrative act and is NOT irreversible: it is reviewable by the Conseil d'Etat, which annuls it if the measure is not adapted, necessary and proportionate. An annulment is retroactive (void ab initio) and a suspension in interim proceedings stays execution, so those entries are served as INFORM with the court outcome carried in the record rather than as a dissolution in force. The list dates from 1936 under the predecessor law on combat groups and private militias.

This is a lower-priority or advisory list. While not carrying the same weight as primary sanctions, matches should still be reviewed and appropriate due diligence conducted based on your organization's risk appetite.
