General instructions for international payments to banks in NORTH MACEDONIA:

In March 2025 European Union has accepted North Macedonia into SEPA, certain time is required to roll-out SEPA implementation.Payments cannot be made to Foreign Indirect accounts.For cross-border remittances under the Employee Share Purchase Program (ESPP), ensure payments are made from the appropriate accounts.No longer accepting international payments for specific individual beneficiary accounts.Please provide the Payment Purpose Code in the appropriate format.Ensure all beneficiaries are appr ... oved by the Social Welfare Council (SWC).Include the payer number in the transaction details.Field 70 is mandatory for all transactions. Correspondent Banks

Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) contain the list of correspondent banks for each currency.

Payment Tracking

To track a SWIFT cross-border payment to or from UNIVERSAL INVESTMENT BANK AD SKOPJE, (UNIBANK), you need a UETR code, reference number, amount, payment date, and currency. This information is typically found in an MT103 form.
