India Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Banned Organizations List

This official list contains organizations banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA) by the Government of India. The list is maintained by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Counter-Terrorism and Counter-Radicalization Division.

• Terrorist Organizations (Section 35): Organizations designated as terrorist organizations under Section 35 of UAPA and listed in the First Schedule. Includes militant groups involved in terrorism, separatism, and insurgency.
• Unlawful Associations (Section 3): Organizations declared unlawful under Section 3(1) of UAPA for activities prejudicial to national security, communal harmony, or sovereignty of India.

• Ban on all organizational activities in India
• Membership in banned organizations is a criminal offense
• Asset freeze for terrorist organizations
• Funding or supporting banned organizations is punishable under UAPA

The list includes Sikh separatist groups (Khalistan-related), Kashmir-based militant organizations, Northeast Indian insurgent groups, Left-Wing Extremist organizations (Maoist/Naxalite), and international terrorist organizations operating in India.
